In partnership with the Alliance for Hispanic Commercial Contractors (AHCC), the Maryland
Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) Office of Small and Minority Business Policy is
offering an Application Assistance Workshop for businesses interested in Minority Business
Enterprise (MBE), Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Airport Concession
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE), and Small Business Enterprise (SBE)
certifications. Please note that this workshop will be presented in SPANISH only! Learn the
benefits of certification, the application process, eligibility standards, as well as business
development and marketing tips. You will also have the opportunity to meet with a
certification officer one-on-one to ask questions that relate specifically to your business.

Each ticket is valid for one admission, each individual attending must register separately.

Did you know that employees that have been with your company for less than a year are at the highest risk of a workplace injury? No matter their age, new employees are the most likely to seriously injure themselves on the job, particularly in higher-risk industries like construction. Chesapeake Employers’ safety consultants will present on how to prepare a New Hire Safety Orientation to better equip your business to protect its newest employees.

Part two of this training will focus on construction site safety. Using state-of-the-art virtual reality equipment, participants will work together to identify common site hazards and how to correct them.

Directions: The best way to get here is to come around the beltway to Exit 27, Dulaney Valley Road. Take Dulaney Valley Road south to the second traffic light and turn left onto Fairmount Avenue. The Towson Mall will be on your right. Go straight through two more traffic lights and bear to the right at the fork in the road. Go to the top of the hill. This is Joppa Road. Take a right at the light and another immediate right into Hampton Plaza.
