In this training, Govology’s Co-Founder, Carroll Bernard will teach you how to effectively prepare for and win government construction contracts. Carroll has spent over a decade developing and testing capture strategies through his work with small businesses and in his own ventures. As a result, he knows what works and what doesn’t, what gets results, and what is just a waste of valuable resources.
About Govology/Carroll Bernard: : Carroll is the CEO & Co-Founder of Govology.com. With an extensive background in government contracting, Carroll started his acquisition career in the U.S. Navy Supply Corps, where he provided logistical support and acquisition management. After leaving active duty, Carroll continued his acquisition career at the City of Vancouver, WA, in the Procurement Services Department. He also served as a warranted Contracting Officer at the Department of Veterans Affairs. In both roles, Carroll’s primary specialty was procuring construction services.
In 2015, Carroll and his team at Govology launched a world-class online training platform for government contractors. Since then, they have trained over 10,000 business professionals and saved small businesses millions of dollars through their collaborative approach with non-profit organizations, government agencies, universities, and corporations that share their mission and passion for powering up small businesses.

The Maryland Insurance Administration is the state agency that regulates the business of insurance within the state. We are interested in reaching small business owners to help inform them on ways to understand their insurance options for their business.
MDHCC is hosting a virtual event along with our special guest the Small Business Administration on Wednesday, March 8th at 12pm. During this event we will discuss information to help understand insurance options for small businesses and what resources are available to reduce barriers for small businesses.

You will have the opportunity to meet with our project teams to discuss the projects and answer any questions you may have. This event is exclusively for minority, women-owned, and small subcontractors and vendors in and around the Delaware and Maryland area.
Cocktail of the Month
Rye House Spring Beer
Ingredients
- 3/4 ounce Bols genever
- 3/4 ounce Laird’s applejack
- 1/2 ounce Clear Creek loganberry liqueur
- 3/4 ounce lime juice, freshly squeezed
- 3/4 ounce ginger syrup
- Large beer (such as Blue Point), chilled, to top
- Garnish: lime wedge
Steps
- Add the genever, applejack, loganberry liqueur, lime juice and ginger syrup into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.
- Strain into a highball glass filled with fresh ice.
